There Is No JusticeIn all my years at Penn State, I was disappointed with all but one season of the Center for the Performing Arts. As a big musical theater buff, I always anticipated the next season hoping it'd be the year they finally brought in the big ones. But with the exception of a couple showsMiss Saigon, Rent and Fosseit was always small-time things I had little interest in seeing. But now that I live on the other side of the continent, I see they are bringing in nothing but the best this coming season; The Producers, Aida, Cats, and Hairspray. And multiple performances of each. There's just no justice in the world.
I had hoped that moving to Sacramento would mean I'd find more theater, but that remains to be seen. I saw the first act of Bombay Dreams last nighttoo boring to bother staying for the second act. Oh well, maybe next seasonwe're getting Movin' Out and The Light in the Piazza.
