My problem with intelligent design has long been the logical blunder which says if we haven't yet figured it out, it must be God. With ID, we don't need to figure anything out. Well, Dahlia Lithwick has said essentially the same thing in her new Slate column--though she says it with far more elan than I could ever muster.
